Battleship North Carolina III
As the Port City Paranormal team returned to the Battleship in January
2010 , We felt more familiar with the ship and had been able to research
the ship's archives and learn more about daily life on board "The Showboat "
From the moment we arrived on the ship we knew there
was something different that evening. The ship seemed
charged, like static electricity and it was cold. Doug
commented on the temperature, so did someone else...
Another cold night as twelve of our team prepared for this vigil. Temperatures were
already in the mid 40's as we set up our gear. We planed a full out assult using 6
videocameras which also recorded sound, our personal recorders and almost everything
listed on our equipment list ! From past investigations and our research into the ship's
history we were armed with new questions. Our goal was to try to identify individual
spirits. We wanted to know who they were, and why they stay on the ship.
Soft whispers and mumbles voices followed us through the ship. knocks and bangs were
the answers to our questions. We use EMF detectors to detect EMF. Sometimes it appears
that spirits use this equipment to communicate, but there is no proof to support this
theory.
The video that we have posted here, is one of the unexplained events that occurred on this
vigil.
We have had the pleasure of joint investigations with Carolina Haunt Hunters, the
PIT Crew Eastern Carolinas Paranormal Investigations, S.P.I.R.I.T, A.S.S and
C.S.P.O.T. teams !
Our May investigation with MonsterVisionTV and the PIT Crew can be viewed on
facebook and utube.
Winter 2010 investigations begin November with our guest Mike Joao from Virginia
Paranormal.
December we will be joined by Alan May and the Bedford Paranormal Team.
January we team up with the PIT Crew and Stephen Lancaster of MonsterVisionTv
for another exciting investigation.!
Our good friends from Autum Moon Paranormal share the ship with us in Feburary.
We use our grid system when investigating the ship. Each team
moves to a new location at an appointed time on the schedule.
This avoids contamination of evidence from sounds traveling
through the ship and assures that no team is close to or over
top of another team. I refered back to that grid as I write this.
The "girls team " Jane, Jennifer and Ali, headed down to the
brig area at 1:00am. Doug walked with us so he could change
the disc in our video set up. As Doug worked, the "girls" entered
the brig and began to explore the cells, taking pictures and
recording.
Facing away from the brig,Doug removed changed the disc and
restarted the video camera. You can see Doug get up walk
towards the brig as he leaves to return to his team.
What happened between the time the new disc started
recording and Doug leaving the area is a mystery. Eventually
the girls got tired of that cell, and exited. The audio recorded our
evp session, you can hear the cameras flash, but no noise of the
cell door moving . The squeel of the metal recorded plainly when
we opened the door to leave the cell, but NO sounds were
recorded by the camera while we were inside the cell. I also had
my back to the door the whole time, and I am sure the door did
not move.Jen and Ali were facing the door and saw no
movement. I had a cast on my right arm, ( you can see as we
exit) that would make it impossible to move the cell door with
one hand or as quickly.
We pride ourselves on our honesty and understand this type of
video can be faked. This is what we have recorded. The origional
disc has never left out archives. Could this be a residual ? We
think it is... decide for your self.

It will be almost a year since Port City Paranormal caught this on video. Now, almost one year to the day, PCP and the PIT Crew will be on the back on board the USS North Carolina looking for more evidence......... Will the ship be as active?
